McMafia: Crime Without Frontiers

glennyx2 Source: Misha Glenny, McMafia: Crime Without Frontiers Date: 12 May, 2008

Chaired by LSE Professor Mary Kaldor, Award–winning international journalist Misha Glenny spoke at Polis about his intrepid investigations into the world of transnational organised crime in his new book, McMafia: Crime without frontiers. He revealed how conventional policing cannot cope with globalised crime corrupting governments and how it is fuelling human rights abuses. Glenny offered an insight into the pitfalls of a globalisation where the rules dividing the legal from the illegal are often far from clear. Listen to the podcast here.
