Super Media in Italia: Perugia Festival of Journalism

Perugia Date: 20 Apr, 2009

The speech urged that "journalism is changing – it is now permeable, interactive, 24/7, multi-platform, disaggregated and converged" and that we must accept "the old business model is broken and that we have to justify the value of journalism again."

For this to happen the Director of Polis called for what he calls Networked Journalism. The way forward, Beckett argued was "to end Fortress Journalism." We have to break down the walls and make new partnerships with the citizen, he argued.
