POLIS in China

Shanghai China Date: 31 Dec, 2010

POLIS Director Charlie Beckett has been speaking in Shanghai. Denied access to Twitter and allowed to show one Cadbury's chocolate commercial but not the other, he addressed a population frustrated with the authorities and the constraints on their use of digital media - read more here. He made a keynote speech to the Fudan University's 80th anniversary conference of global journalism education and met with a group of LSE Alumni to talk about new media in China.
